Discount golf trips and family vacations can be made affordable through special golf packages. You can look for these packages on the internet or through a travel agent that specializes in family vacations. 
Marriott is leading the way when it comes to hotel chains offering family golf programs. Their package, Kids-Golf-4-Free, is offered at select resorts and is designed to promote the game of golf among kids, allowing those 15 years old and under to play for free after 3:00 p.m. Along with free play, they get a free lesson and free rental clubs, all when accompanied by a full paying adult.
This year, they also offered the Marriott Family Golf Festival; a one day family golf event, designed to encourage families and children to learn and play the game of golf together. Family Golf Festivals take place throughout the year at premier Marriott Golf managed destinations around the world. The Marriott World Center Orlando offers a Stay & Play Golf Package that includes room, breakfast, unlimited daily golf and kids 15 and under play for free. At www.getmorevacations.com you can select a vacation rental property (mostly condos, beach cottages and beach homes) that provides you with complimentary golf along with other activities every day of your vacation stay. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
is another great family vacation spot that also boasts over 100 golf courses in the area. This summer, 24 of those courses offered the Kids Play Free program; juniors under the age of 16 are free with a paying adult.
The US Kids Golf website has a list of golf courses and resorts that have met or exceeded their Family Course criteria. These courses add 2 sets of tee locations (Blue Level 1 - 1100 yards and Gold Level 2 tees - 1900 yards) so that all family members are able to enjoy their rounds.
