Junior Golf Outerwear:
Keep them Warm and Dry!
Since we live in Southern California, we like to think that we really don’t need junior golf outerwear. After all, it never rains here, right?
Our son has learned the hard way when it comes to being prepared for the weather. He has played in hail and torrential downpours, and that’s just in local tournaments. In the winter, there’s always a chance that it’s really cold, even though we may be someplace that you would think it would be warm. Florida, for example can be cold in the winter!
We now always check the weather report before a tournament and if there’s even a chance of rain, he gears up. You can get
junior golf outerwear from FootJoy,
Adidas and Ralph Lauren RLX performance wear.
A must is a good pair of rain gloves; we like the FootJoy RainGrip Golf Gloves that come in pairs for both boys and girls. These will keep their driver from flying into the nearby lake off the tee (yes, this really did happen without a good pair of rain gloves).Your child will also need a good golf umbrella and a couple of towels to keep his clubs dry. We like Sun Mountain products and their umbrellas are great!
When it’s cold, your child needs to have on some UnderArmour! They have an extensive line of cold gear products in boys, girls and adult sizes.
Don’t forget to check eBay for bargains on rain gear before you buy. This stuff can be expensive and kids outgrow it fast. We’ve been able to find lots of great bargains on new items at eBay.
